Kenyan police have detained a man they describe as a “serial killer” suspected of being responsible for the grisly murder of nine women, whose mangled bodies were discovered in a disused quarry used as a waste dump.  Police said Jomaisi Khalisia, 33, admitted to killing 42 women since 2022, including his own wife. A car bomb exploded outside a famous café crowded with football supporters in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, killing several people.  The bomb exploded on Sunday night at 22:28 local time, while customers at Top Coffee were watching the Euro 2024 football final between Spain and England. The Lagos State Police Command announced the launch of a full-scale investigation into a 17-year-old girl’s alleged rape complaint against one of its officers.  Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s public relations officer, said in a statement on Sunday that the officer, whose identity was not revealed, had been arrested.
