No fewer than eight bodies, all of them female, have been recovered so far from a dumpsite in a Nairobi slum, Kenya’s acting police chief, Douglas Kanja, said on Sunday. “They were severely dismembered in different states of decomposition and left in sacks,” Kanja told a press conference, adding that investigations into the gruesome find are ongoing. The Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) has given a seven-day ultimatum to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to suspend the directive forcing car owners to register and receive a Central Motor Information System Certificate for a price of at least N6,000. A POS operator, Bassey Francis, has accused a customer, Joy Deshi, of allegedly scamming him by doing a fake money transfer to his bank account during a business transaction. Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has ordered the closure of Saints Academy in Jos, which collapsed on Friday, killing over 22 people.  Musa Ashoms, Plateau state commissioner for information, confirmed this in a statement released on Saturday.
