A pan-Yoruba activist, Aare Kurunmi Kakanfo, has alleged that the Igbos are responsible for the political and economic evils in Yorubaland. In a statement published on his verified X page on Tuesday, Kakanfo refuted allegations that the Fulanis are the bone of contention in Yorubaland. The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has announced plans to sue the Senate over “the unlawful suspension of whistleblower Senator Abdul Ningi.” Chronicle NG reports that Ningi was suspended by the Sen. Godswill Akpabio-led Senate for 3 months over his allegation that the Senate inserted projects worth N3 trillion in the 2024 budget. A Nigerian man, Amos James Gbaja, has threatened to commit suicide by drinking a poisonous insecticide. In a statement on his X page on Tuesday, Gbaja announced being suicidal over the deaths of all his loved ones. The President of Argentina, Javier Milei, has sacked labor minister Omar Yasin for increasing the salaries of ministers and other senior cabinet officials. The Nigeria Police Force has once again warned Nigerians about the actions of one-chance robbers across the country.
