Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane has found the net in 10 straight UEFA Champions League games, putting him one match away from Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 11 consecutive scoring appearances.
The English forward converted a penalty to put Bayern ahead at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, before Declan Rice curled in an equalizer for the visiting London side, Arsenal.
UEFA confirmed on Wednesday that Kane reached the milestone with his goal against Arsenal on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, on Matchday Three of the 2026/27 Champions League phase.
The England captain is now the second player to score in 10 consecutive matches in the competition, alongside Ronaldo, whose record stands at an 11-game scoring run for Real Madrid during the 2017/18 campaign.
Kane had previously been tied with former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy and Poland international Robert Lewandowski, both of whom scored in nine consecutive Champions League matches.
Lewandowski managed the feat twice while at Bayern Munich, in the 2019/20 and 2020/21 campaigns.
Ronaldo’s record run started with two goals in Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Juventus in the 2017 Champions League final.
The Portuguese forward then scored in all six group-stage matches of the 2017/18 season and also found the net in both legs of Real Madrid’s round-of-16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain and their quarter-final against Juventus.
According to UEFA, he scored 17 goals over the course of that 11-match run.
Ronaldo tops the list for consecutive Champions League scoring appearances with 11 matches, with Kane second on 10.
Van Nistelrooy and Lewandowski share third place with nine matches apiece, while Ronaldo also put together an eight-match streak in 2013/14.
UEFA’s statistics span matches from the group stage or league phase all the way through to the final.
