England will face Spain in the 2024 European Championship final in the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany, on Sunday, July 14.
The event, which began on June 14, has included 51 games: 36 in the group stage and 15 in the knockout rounds.
England is hoping to end its 58-year trophy drought, while Spain seeks to add to its collection with a fourth Euro Championship triumph.
In December 2023, the UEFA Executive Committee authorised the prize money distribution mechanism for tournament participants.
The prize money for the participating teams is set at the same level as UEFA EURO 2020, at €331 million.
The distribution key, as contained on the UEFA website, is as follows:
*Participating fee: €9.25m
*Match bonus: €1.0 million for a win and €500,000 for a draw.
*Qualification for the round of 16: €1.5m
*Qualification for the quarterfinals: €2.5 million
*Qualification to the semi-finals: €4 million
*The runners-up will receive an additional payment of €5 million.
*The 2024 European champions will receive an extra payment of €8 million.
The champions could earn up to €28.25 million if they won all three of their group matches.
On Monday, UEFA stated that the tournament’s money is generated via media rights, worldwide sponsorships, ticketing, hospitality, and licensing.
