A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State says Rivers State Government should collect Valued Added Tax (VAT) and Personal Income Tax (PIT) and not the Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS). Gunmen have reportedly killed four policemen in Nnewi Area command, Anambra state. The attack which was reportedly carried out on Monday by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), lasted for more than an hour. According to reports, the assailants invaded the police station in seven vehicles and engaged the policemen there in a fierce gunbattle. Bandits have abducted a Swiss national, Andred Beita, and his driver, simply identified as Ifeanyi, in Ogun state. At least five people have been confirmed dead after a Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) patrol vehicle rammed into passersby in Kaduna state.
