The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Kaduna has pronounced the Kaduna state governorship election in 2023 inconclusive. In a split decision  of ratio 2:1 margin on Thursday, the 3-man tribunal panel ruled the election to be inconclusive and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to hold a rerun within ninety days. National Assemly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Enugu has dismissed a petition filed by Senator Chimaroke Nnamani of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, disputing the election of Senator Kelvin Chukwu of the Labour Party. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, proclaimed Chukwu the winner of the Enugu East Senatorial District election on February 25, 2023, after his late brother was slain during the campaign. Men of the Rivers State Police Command have arrested one of the suspects linked to the killing of Mr Bako Angbashim. On September 8, Angbashim, Superintendent of Police, led his men to raid criminal hideouts in the Odemude community of the state’s Ahoada West Local Government Area when they were ambushed, opened fire, and eventually captured Angbashim, decapitated his body, and filmed their action.
