A lecturer of Abia State University, Uturu, has been abducted along with his niece by suspected Fulani herdsmen along Campus/Isuikwuato road in Abia state. The bandits also abducted another teacher at the University’s International Secondary School Uturu and his wife travelling together with the lecturer. Armed bandits have attacked another community in Kaduna state, killing one and injuring many others. The gunmen reportedly raided Ungwan Ayaba, a community close to Juji in Sabon Tasha ward of Chikun Local Government Area. An assistant primary school headmaster at Goron Dutse Primary School in Dala Local Government of Kano State, Umar Hassan, has been sentenced to six months imprisonment by Justice Zuwaira Yusuf of the Kano State High Court for providing false information and misleading operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
