Five farmers were reportedly killed in Modakeke, Osun state by unknown assailants on Friday morning. It was gathered that the yet-to-be-identified persons were on their way to a farm in Toro when they were brutally murdered. Details of the incident are still sketchy as at the time of filing this report. However, reports say that there was tension between Ife and Modakeke residents over the incident. Prof. Ishaq Oloyede has been reappointed as the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) by President Muhammadu Buhari. The president also approved the reappointment of the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Abubakar Rasheed.
