The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 36-year-old Joseph Oyediran, one of key wanted fraudsters on the list released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The commission took to its twitter handle to announce the arrest of the suspect whom they said was the mastermind of a N60 million fraud. Lagos State Environment Sanitation and Special Offenses Taskforce on Friday intercepted a truck laden with 48 motorcycles and 123 men from Jigawa State. The truck was seized, following a tip off by members of the public who raised security concern about the manner with which the occupants of the truck conducted themselves. After the interception, the truck and its occupants were moved to the office of the Taskforce in Oshodi for interrogation. Former governor of Imo, Sen. Rochas Okorocha, has described the state government’s arrest order against him as an open invitation to anarchy in Imo. Prof. James Apam, Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kogi said that 170,664 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) have yet to be collected by their owners. Apam, who disclosed this in Lokoja on Friday during a stakeholders meeting,said there was urgent need to get the cards across to their owners before the Nov. 16 governorship election in the state. The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), says it is working with the Ministry of Power to boost power supply in the country. The Managing Director of TCN, Mr Usman Mohammed, said this during the inspection visit to the Kashimbilla Hydro – Power Plant  in Taraba by the Minister of Power, Mr Sale Mamman, on Friday. The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Malam Mele Kyari, has called on the oil and gas industry unions to support his management’s vision to reposition the corporation. No fewer than 57 sailors have been arrested in Rivers by the Nigerian Navy for allegedly smuggling crude oil and illegally refining diesel. The all-male sailors, including a Ukrainian, a Mexican and 55 Nigerians, were arrested between Aug. 11 and Aug. 25 onboard four vessels, two wooden boats and a barge. Capt.
