Pretty Mike, the Nigerian socialite, has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over “possession of illicit substances.”

Femi Babafemi, NDLEA spokesperson, said the controversial socialite and over 100 others were arrested on Sunday.

The arrests were made at Proxy Lagos, the nightclub owned by Pretty Mike in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Babafemi said that the raid followed intelligence about an alleged drug party taking place at the venue.

He added that NDLEA officers, who had been stationed at the venue since 11 pm on Saturday, disrupted the gathering around 3 am on Sunday in line with standard operating procedures.

Babafemi added that cartons of illicit substances, including loud (potent cannabis) and laughing gas, were what were recovered from the suspects and in the club’s store.

Pretty Mike, the NDLEA spokesperson added, is currently in custody for “screening.”

Born Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, Pretty Mike is known for his out-of-the-blue stunts at social events that have, on several occasions, made headlines.

He recently revealed how he lost his virginity at 13 after being exploited by two domestic workers.

“Men have been encouraged to come out to talk about sexual abuse and being taken advantage of sexually at a tender age,” he said.

“I lost my virginity at 13 to my housemaid. Not even one, but two. Did that change my orientation about sex? Yes.”
