Armed bandits on Thursday, raided the Nasarawa state Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning in Lafia and stole an unknown amount of money.
According to reports, the bandits followed some staff from the bank to the Ministry after which they waylaid them and seized the money at gunpoint.
The state’s commissioner of Finance, Haruna Ogbole who confirmed the incident, revealed that the money was worth millions, but the exact amount could not be disclosed.
Some of the staff were injured during the encounter, while one was undergoing treatment as at the time of filing this report.
