Victor Osimhen scored two first-half goals, which gave Turkey Super Lig champion hosts Galatasaray a 2-1 win over Fenerbahce.
Osimhen broke the deadlock in the 29th minute, finishing off a move set up by Baris Alper Yilmaz to put Galatasaray in front at Rams Park.
The striker doubled his team’s lead in the 44th minute, converting another chance after an assist from Davinson Sanchez to send Galatasaray into half-time with a 2-0 cushion.
Fenerbahce pulled one back in the 62nd minute through Irfan Can Kahveci, who was set up by Oguz Aydin, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
Galatasaray made several substitutions in the second half, including bringing on Rafael Leao for Yilmaz in the 64th minute. Leao was booked in the 89th minute, while Fenerbahce defender Archie Brown was shown a yellow card in the 90th minute.
Osimhen was replaced by Wilfried Singo in the 88th minute as Galatasaray held on to secure the 2-1 victory.
The win adds another chapter to the rivalry between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, two of Turkish football’s biggest clubs whose meetings are among the most closely followed fixtures in the country.
Osimhen’s brace further highlighted how important he is to Galatasaray’s attack. The Nigeria international, who scored 37 goals in all competitions during the 2024/25 season, joined the Turkish club permanently from Napoli in 2025 after his successful loan spell.
