A United States court sentenced two Nigerian siblings to 17 years and six months in jail for sextortion.  In addition to the 17 years and six months in prison, the two prisoners, Samuel Ogoshi, 24, and his brother, Samson Ogoshi, 21, from Lagos, Nigeria, would be released under supervision for five years. The two brothers were extradited to the United States to face trial on charges of conspiring to sexually exploit many teenagers. Donald Trump’s sentencing in his Manhattan hush money criminal trial has been rescheduled for after the November election.  On Friday, Justice Juan Merchan postponed the sentencing to November 26, noting “the unique time frame this matter currently finds itself in” as one of his justifications. The Plateau State Police Command claims it has arrested a teenager for having sexual relations with three sisters in the state.  The state’s Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Adesina, announced this in Jos on Friday while briefing journalists on the operational breakthroughs recorded by the command in the state capital and other parts of the state. During operations around the state, the Kaduna State Police Command apprehended 11 alleged kidnappers and seized a cache of weaponry and a substantial sum of money.  According to a statement issued on Thursday by the command’s spokeswoman, Assistant Superintendent of Police Mansir Hassan, the arrests were linked to the kidnapping of a district head on August 14, 2024, who was freed two days later. Gunmen abducted a widow and an assistant chief nursing officer with the Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Ilisan Remo, Mrs. Elizabeth Uruakpa, on Thursday.
