No fewer than 48 people have been confirmed dead in a petrol tanker explosion in the Agaie Local Government Area of Niger State. According to reports, the petrol tanker collided head-on with a trailer truck carrying travellers and cattle from Wudil, Kano State. Nigerian activist turned politician, Aisha Yesufu, has berated Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu. Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has announced the dissolution of the 17 Local Government Transition Implementation Committee Chairmen, with effect from September 6, 2024.
