Dino Melaye, in the re-run election to pick Kogi West Senatorial ticket on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has explained why it invaded the Maitama, Abuja home of a former governor of Imo state, Senator Rochas Okorocha, to effect his arrest. The anti-graft agency said it made the move after the refusal of the former governor to honour invitations after jumping the administrative bail earlier granted him by the Commission. West Ham United defender Kurt Zouma has pleaded guilty to kicking and slapping his pet cat in a video that also showed him saying “I swear I’ll kill it”. The 27-year-old admitted two offences under the Animal Welfare Act at a hearing at Thames Magistrates’ Court. The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday released a revised timetable for the screening exercise of aspirants for the governorship, senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly but not the presidential.
