The Catholic Church has banned Father Ejike Mbaka from holding service at the Adoration Ministry in Enugu till further notice for teaching what is not in line with the Catholic church faith. The Catholic Diocese of Enugu also barred all Catholic faithfuls from attending services held by Father Mbaka. Bashir Machina has vowed to seek legal redress after his name was substituted with that of Senate President Ahmad Lawan as the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Yobe North. In a signed list of candidates, the Senate President’s name was listed as the APC flag bearer for Yobe North Senatorial District even though he did not contest election for the seat. Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has submitted the name of Kabiru Masari as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election. Masari’s name was however submitted as a place holder, which means it was done to beat the Friday deadline set by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Labour Party has announced Doyin Okupe as a place holder for the vice presidential slot to enable it beat the Friday deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. Okupe, a former spokesperson to former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has been one of the leading advocates for a Peter Obi presidency. Liverpool have agreed a 41m euro (£35.1m) deal to sell Sadio Mane to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. The Reds will get a fixed 32m euros (£27.4m) with an additional 6m euros based on appearances and 3m euros based on individual and team achievements. Porto say they have agreed to sell midfielder Fabio Vieira to Arsenal in a 40m euro (£34.2m) deal.
