A National Centre for the Coordination of Early Warning and Response Mechanism has been established with the signing of Executive Order 12 by President Muhammadu Buhari. The order signed on June 10, 2022 establishes the National Early Warning Centre pursuant to Article 58 of the Treaty of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and Article 16 of the Protocol on the Mechanism related to Conflict Prevention, Management, Resolution, Peacekeeping and Security. The Catholic Church has banned Father Ejike Mbaka from holding service at the Adoration Ministry in Enugu till further notice for teaching what is not in line with the Catholic church faith. The Catholic Diocese of Enugu also barred all Catholic faithfuls from attending services held by Father Mbaka. Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has submitted the name of Kabiru Masari as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election. Labour Party has announced Doyin Okupe as a place holder for the vice presidential slot to enable it beat the Friday deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
