After scoring in the 50th minute, Haaland had another two efforts saved by Aston Villa keeper Emiliano Martinez and De Bruyne also hit the crossbar with a 22-yard free-kick. Those missed chances proved costly as Bailey struck a sweet first-time shot into…

However, it was thanks to former Arsenal keeper Bernd Leno and a resolute Fulham defence that they were held to just two goals. Hojbjerg’s…
Substitute Kai Havertz scored a late winner as Chelsea came from behind to record a dramatic victory over West Ham, who had a 90th-minute Maxwel Cornet equaliser ruled out. The Hammers frustrated Chelsea in a first half that saw plenty of home possession but no shots on target for either side, and looked to have executed their game plan to perfection when Michail Antonio scored from a rare attack after 62 minutes. The forward bundled in from close range after Blues goalkeeper Edouard Mendy failed to deal with a corner, but the visitors’ lead was wiped out 14 minutes later.…

The Insight by Lateef Adewole Many times, I have asked myself what I am still doing in this country, Nigeria? Why have I not left for other countries with greener pastures, especially the Western world, despite the numerous opportunities I have had to do so? The situation in this country; economically, socially, security, and many wise, have not made it encouraging to remain here. They are worrisome and frustrating, truly. As an academic topper in the university, it seemed natural that I should have sought scholarship for further studies (postgraduate) abroad, because, my parents could definitely not afford it. That…
