Leading the search are some governors and leaders of the party, including close political associates of President Muhammadu Buhari. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 603 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Saturday. The 603 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 28167. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 393 patients from isolation centers across the country with six new deaths reported. Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has denied any link with money laundering and cyber crime criminal, Ramon Abbas popularly known as Hushpuppi. He described the allegation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) linking him with Hushpuppi as irresponsible and reckless cheap politics. Hushpuppi was recently arrested in Dubai and extradited to the United States over alleged involvement in money-laundering and cyber crimes. Three US police officers in Colorado have been sacked after they shared photos re-enacting a chokehold used on a black man who later died. Elijah McClain, 23, died in August last year after being stopped by police. Another officer resigned over the matter. A local police chief called the images “beyond comprehension”. Mr McClain’s case attracted renewed focus in the wake of the death of George Floyd, another unarmed African-American who died in police custody.
