Ifedayo Abegunde has resigned as Ondo Secretary to the State Government

The Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Mr. Ifedayo Abegunde, has resigned his appointment ahead of the governorship election in the state. Abegunde, popularly known as Abena, tendered his resignation letter on Monday morning. He was however silent on why he opted to quit when Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, is undergoing treatment for COVID-19. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 544 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Sunday. The 603 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 28711.
