Hoodlums have attacked four operatives of the Oyo State Security Network otherwise called Amotekun Corps and a policeman in Ibadan, Oyo State. The victims were attacked on Friday in another crisis suspected to have culminated from a gang fight at Odeyale area of Ona Ara Local Government Area of the state, leaving them critically injured. The security operatives were said to be receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the University College Hospital, Ibadan. The Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS related abuses and other matters has okayed the reopening of the Lekki Toll Gate plaza to its owners, the Lekki Concession Company (LCC). Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has advised the Federal Government to have a rethink on its directive on cryptocurrency transactions in the country. This advice, which was contained in a statement on Saturday, was in reaction to the directive of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to banks and other financial institutions to close accounts of any individual who transact in cryptocurrency. Nigeria has lifted its suspension of Emirates airlines flights imposed after the carrier sought additional COVID-19 tests for passengers from Nigeria, a spokesman for the country’s aviation regulator said on Friday. “The suspension has just been lifted, because they have complied with what we want,” said the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) spokesman in a phone call.
