Less than 24 hours after the Federal Government lifted the ban on suspension of Emirates Airlines flight operation in Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates carrier canceled outbound flights out of Lagos and Abuja on Saturday February 6, 2021. A new case of the Ebola virus has been detected in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo near the city of Butembo, and the infected person has died, the health ministry said on Sunday.  A woman was found with symptoms of the deadly Ebola virus in the town of Biena on Feb. 1 and died in hospital in Butembo on Feb. 3. She was married to a man who had contracted the virus in a previous outbreak. “The provincial response team is already hard at work. A caretaker of one of the off campus hostels at the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Ezinwanne Lodge, has allegedly killed a student of the institution, Anthony Chinweotito Emmanuel, over issues surrounding payment of rent. Residents of Alakuko, a Lagos-Ogun border community have been enveloped with fear following resumed cult violence by suspected members of the infamous ‘One million boys’ cult group.
