President Muhammadu Buhari has announced DIG Usman Alkali Baba as acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP). According to the Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi, the appointment takes immediate effect. Saudi authorities said Monday only people immunised against Covid-19 will be allowed to perform the year-round Umrah pilgrimage from the start of Ramadan, the holy fasting month for Muslims.
