Nigeria security agents on Sunday foiled an attempt to attack the Imo State Police Command headquarters, killing six of the assailants. One of them, Joseph Uka Nnachi alias Dragon, was said to be the squad commander of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)/Eastern Security Network (ESN). The police said he was responsible for over 70 per cent of the killings in the Southeast. The body of one of the abducted Islamic children, who died in captivity, has been discovered on Sunday. The three-year-old was one of the 156 children abducted from the Salihu Tanko Islamic School in Tegina a week ago. The body of the child was discovered a few kilometres away from Tegina town. The Police Command in Imo state has repelled another attempt by hoodlums to attack the command’s headquarters in Owerri on Sunday, killing five of the attackers in a gun duel. Finance ministers from the G7 group of leading economies are confident of striking a deal on taxing multinational companies at their meeting in London.
