Former Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Mr. Babatunde Fowler, has been appointed to the eight-member Board of Pan-African Oversight Committee, an arm of the Pan-African Parliament of the African Union (AU). The appointment was contained in a letter signed by Ambassador Adriaan Fondse. Imo State Police Command have arrested Benneth Okoli, the native doctor of Eastern Security Network (ESN) with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). Armed bandits on Thursday, raided the Nasarawa state Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning in Lafia and stole an unknown amount of money. According to reports, the bandits followed some staff from the bank to the Ministry after which they waylaid them and seized the money at gunpoint.
