The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has been ordered to suspend its ongoing strike by the the National Industrial Court, Abuja on Monday. The order comes after a lawsuit was filed against the association by the Federal Government to end the industrial action by the resident doctors. The presiding Judge of the court, John Targema asked all parties in the suit to suspend all forms of hostilities pending the hearing and determination of the motion. The wife of late Nigerian Head of State, Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi has passed on at the age of 97. Chief Mrs Victoria reportedly died peacefully on Monday morning. She never remarried after her husband’s death. Her husband Aguiyi-Ironsi was the first Military Head of State in Nigeria.
