Gunmen shoot dead Ebonyi monarch inside palace

One person has been confirmed killed, while many others have been reportedly abducted by armed bandits in a border community between Taraba and Benue state. The bandits allegedly invaded the community on Saturday, forcing residents to flee to Koffai Ahmadu in Takum Local Government Area for safety. The Ondo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun corps), have successfully secured the freedom of the remaining three passengers who were part of the 12 abducted by bandits in Ondo state. The Lagos-bound passengers who were coming from Abuja had been waylaid and abducted along the Ifira-Akoko/Idoani Road.
