North Korea carried out successful tests of a new long-range cruise missile over the weekend, state media said on Monday, seen by analysts as possibly the country’s first such weapon with a nuclear capability. About 48 hours after President Muhammadu Buhari met with the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) on ending their industrial action, doctors have refused to return their jobs. The resident doctors, under the aegis of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) gave the payment of their salaries for between 2014 and 2021 as the only condition for which they would call off their 41-day-old strike. A pastor of the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA), Reverend Silas Ali, has been murdered by unknown assailants in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The victim was the presiding Pastor of ECWA church in Kibori-Asha Awuce in Zango Kataf. Reverend Ali was last seen on Saturday when he was said to be on his way to Kafanchan. Liverpool teenager Harvey Elliott suffered a terrible injury during the Reds’ bitter-sweet win over Leeds at Elland Road. The 18-year-old youngster was badly injured after a bad tackle by Leeds defender Pascal Struijk, who was sent off in the 60th minute as a result.
