Armed bandits have abducted a Catholic priest in Ikulu Chiefdom of Zangon Kataf local government area of Kaduna state. According to reports, Luka Benson Yakusak, the priest in charge of St Matthew’s Catholic Church, Anchuna village, was abducted around 7:30pm on Monday when the gunmen stormed his residence. The top national health agency disclosed that 1,692,315 Nigerians have received two doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines. At least 20 civilians have been killed by the Taliban in Afghanistan’s Panjshir Valley. The valley has been the last stronghold of Afghan resistance forces, despite claims by the Taliban that it had captured the region. A man has been arrested by police Ondo state for allegedly killing a tenant who owed house rent. An eyewitness said that, the deceased had gotten into an argument with the landlord over his house rent, after which the landlord called one of his sons. Twelve persons have been reportedly killed by armed bandits who attacked Peigyim village, near Kibori, Atyap Chiefdom of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna state on Sunday evening.
