Nigerian telecommunication company Globacom has been confirmed the sole network that increased its Internet subscriber base in October. According to data published on the website of telecoms industry regulator, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the number of Internet users on the networks of the four major operators shrunk by 378,015 from 93.5 million in September to 93.1 million in October. Augustine Wokocha, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers, has denied involvement with the beheading of a police officer during the December 10 legislative re-run elections. Nigeria’s commercial capital Lagos faces a water crisis that is creating unacceptable conditions for millions of people, a UN expert said on Thursday, but an official in the megacity said spending was being increased to alleviate the problem.
