United States Department of States has restated its resolve to continuously deliver in line with President Donald Trump’s vision to make the country great again, listing tremendous gains not only on the continent but also across the globe.

During a press briefing to mark the Trump’s 100 days in office, the spokesperson, Tammy Bruce, noted that the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, had advanced the administration’s foreign policies.

She said: “As I said in my first briefing, Secretary Rubio promised to deliver a foreign policy grounded in President Trump’s vision – one that would make America stronger, safer, and more prosperous.”

“One hundred days later, that promise is being kept. Secretary Rubio has returned the department to the fundamentals of diplomacy, engaging in the persuasion and power of face-to-face meetings around the globe.”

Bruce added that the department’s scribe reminded the US partners that being friends with the country brings benefits that improve the quality of everyone’s life.

According to her, the agency rewards performance based on merit and demands accountability for every tax spent, ensuring every policy serves the interests of the American people.

She continued: “To restore integrity and results-driven foreign assistance, the department and USAID have saved the American taxpayers billions of dollars by ending outdated and misaligned foreign aid programmes. Instead, we are prioritising core US policies.

“That includes the life-saving response in Uganda, where more than 75 American experts worked hand in hand with local officials to officially end Uganda’s 2025 Ebola outbreak – a tremendous global health achievement.”

Bruce, who revealed that the Secretary had travelled extensively to 15 countries, mentioned that the effort has further deepened US diplomatic ties, and secured major foreign policy wins with nations like Panama, China, Ukraine, Russia, and Mexico, among others.

Speaking on terrorism and border security, she added: “Our border is more secure than ever, and illegal crossings at our southwest border have dropped by 95 per cent since 2024.”
