    INEC has declared Babajide Sanwo-Olu as governor-elect in Lagos

    The All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been declared the winner of the Lagos State governorship election.

    Babajide Sanwo-Olu of APC polled 739,445 defeating his closest challenger by more than 500, 000 votes to emerge victor.

    Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Jimi Agbaje who placed second could only manage 206,141 votes.

    According to official results declared by the electoral commission, INEC, Mr. Sanwo-Olu is the governor-elect of Lagos.

    Results announced also showed that Mr. Sanwo-Olu won in all the local government areas in the state.
