    GOtv Boxing Night 13: Fans to win 50 decoders

    GOtv Boxing Night 13 is giving away 50 decoders

    Fans attending the 13th edition of the boxing and musical performances at GOtv Boxing Night 13 have the opportunity of going home with 50 GOtv decoders at the event holding on 26 December at Landmark Centre, Victoria Island Lagos.

    The decoders will be won through raffle draws to be held in between fights at the event, which will feature musical performances by Small Doctor, Simi, Reekado Banks and Falz The Bahd Guy.

    According to Flykite Productions, organisers of the event, the decoders are to be given out by the sponsors, GOtv, in appreciation of fans’ support for the event since it began three years ago.

    Seven fights, including two African Boxing Union (ABU) title duels and a West African Boxing Union (WABU) title fights are scheduled.

    The headline bout will see Nigeria’s Oto “Joe Boy” Joseph attempt to win the vacant ABU lightweight title when he fights Abdulrahim Ahmed of Egypt.

    Joseph’s compatriot, Olaide “Fijaborn” Fijabi will fight for the ABU light welterweight title against Shadrack “Punch to Punch” Kobero of Tanzania.

    Abolaji “Afonja Warrior” Rasheed, incumbent WABU middleweight champion, will defend his title against Arye Ayiiteh of Ghana.

    Also in the light welterweight category, Rilwan “Baby Face” Babatunde will fight for the national title against Chijioke “Painless” Ngige.

    Three challenge contests are equally scheduled with Jimoh “Hogan Jimoh” Jr.” Lukman taking on Rilwan “Scorpion” Opatola, while Rilwan “Real One” Oladosu takes on Kazeem “Ijoba” Badmus.

    The middleweight division will see the clash between Matthew “Wizeman” Obinna and David “Cosmos” Awosika.

    The best boxer of the evening will win N2.5million and the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy.

    Runners-up will win N1million and N500, 000 respectively.

    Tickets for the show are available online at ariiyatickets.com, SLOT and Ebeano Supermarket outlets, Freedom Park and National Stadium.

    There will be buses to move ticket-holding fans free of charge from the National Stadium to the event venue and back to the stadium after the show.
