The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, arraigned Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, a social media influencer and self-proclaimed relationship therapist, on Tuesday for an alleged N69.1 million fraud.

Blessing’s CEO was brought before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, faces a two-count charge of collecting money under false pretense and stealing N69,150,000.

At the start of the proceedings, the prosecution lawyer, C. C. Okezie, requested the court to proceed with the arraignment, claiming that the defendant had been properly served with the charge.

However, defence attorney Nkama Nneka informed the court that the charge had only recently been served.

Justice Oshodi ruled that the arraignment should proceed in accordance with the law, and the charges were then read to the defendant.

The EFCC arraigned Blessing CEO, on May 15, 2026, for an alleged N36 million fraud.

The bail application submitted by the social media influencer was put on hold as Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, reserved ruling on the application.

This was stated in a statement posted on the EFCC X site on Friday.

“Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday, June 5, 2026, reserved ruling until June 9, 2026, on the bail application filed by social media influencer and relationship therapist Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO.

“Blessing is standing trial on a two-count charge filed by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the EFCC, bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing to the tune of N36 million,” the statement reads.

Blessing, CEO, is on trial on a two-count charge filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 for allegedly collecting and stealing N36 million under false pretenses.

The matter was heard on Friday, and the court reviewed arguments on the bail application before choosing to postpone the ruling to a later date.
