    DStv celebrates Hollywood’s finest on M-net movies Oscars pop-up channel

    Denzel Washington’s Oscars winning Training Day will be aired on pop-up channel turns DStv 109

    Ahead of the Oscars next month and in the spirit of celebrating movie industry talents, DStv has created Oscars Pop-Up Channel (DStv 109).

    The channel not only showcases movies, but some of the biggest talents to have ever been nominated or won the coveted Academy Awards.

     

    More iconic movies are lined up to keep DStv customers glued to their screens.

    On Thursday at 9.05pm, An Officer and a Gentleman, starring Richard Gere, Debra Winger and Louis Gossett Jr, will be available for viewing.

    Available for viewing on Saturday are Ordinary People at 10:30am, All the President’s Men at 5pm, Little Miss Sunshine at 7:15pm and Inglorious Bastards at 9pm.

    On 18 February, viewers will have the opportunity to watch Scent of a Woman, starring Al Pacino, at 12 pm; Crazy Heart at 5:05pm, Training Day at 7pm, The Colour of Money at 10am, Ray at 2.35pm and The Revenant at 9pm.

    Showing on Saturday 24 February are As Good as it Gets at 11:15am, Silver Linings Playbook at 1:35pm, Erin Brockovich at 3:40pm, The Blind Side at 5:50pm, Black Swan at 8pm and Room at 9:50pm.

    On Sunday 25 February, All About Eve will show at 11:35am. The same day, The Artist will be on at 2pm, The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King (3:40pm), Argo (7pm), Gladiator (9pm) and Shakespeare in Love (11.35 pm) will be available for viewing.
