The City Boy Movement has suspended Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, the South-West zonal coordinator of the women’s wing of the movement, following a wanted notice published by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

On Monday, the EFCC declared Tejuosho wanted over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.

The anti-graft agency said Tejuosho, 41, is wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation into fraud-related offences.

Tejuosho had previously been on the EFCC’s radar over an alleged appointment and contract scam.

In June 2025, the commission interrogated her following complaints that she obtained money from victims under the guise of securing federal government jobs and lucrative contracts.

The businesswoman, said to be the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, was accused of running a scheme involving fake appointment letters and forged documents to convince victims of her claims.

She was previously granted administrative bail after being questioned by the EFCC, with the agency stating that investigations were ongoing at the time.

    THE SUSPENSION

In a statement released by its management, the movement said Tejuosho has been suspended pending the “full conclusion and resolution of the matter by the relevant authorities.”

The movement said the decision was reached to protect its image and ethical standards.

“It is also intended to ensure that the ongoing process is allowed to proceed without interference, obstruction, or undue influence,” the statement reads.

“The City Boy Movement wishes to make it unequivocally clear that it maintains a zero-tolerance stance against misconduct, criminality, or any act capable of bringing the organisation into disrepute.

“Every official of the movement is expected to uphold the highest standards of character, responsibility, and public conduct.

“The movement remains resolute in its mission to promote responsible leadership, national development, transparency, and public trust at all levels of its structure.”
