    Nigerian Grammy award-winning singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, lost all seven nominations at the 2023 BET Awards on Tuesday.

    Burna Boy was nominated in the following categories: ‘Hip-Hop Artiste of the Year’, ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Best Hip-Hop Video’, ‘Best Collaboration’, ‘Best Live Performer’, ‘Lyricist of the Year’, and ‘Hustler of the Year’.

    The award, which will be presented on October 3, 2023, at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, was aired on Tuesday night.

    Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar, an American singer, and rapper, emerged as the night’s top winner, taking home four awards.

    • Burna Boy is a thief, unoriginal – Brymo

    Lamar won “Hip-Hop Artist of the Year”, “Lyricist of the Year”, “Best Live Performer”, and “Video Director of the Year.”

    Burma Boy lost the “Artist of the Year” category to Kendrick Lamar, the “Song of the Year” category to Lil Uzi Vert, and the “Best Hip Hop Video” category to Lil Uzi Vert.

    He also lost the “Best Live Performer,”, “Lyricist of the Year,” and “Hustler of the Year”, categories to Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent.
