Bodo/Glimt get shocking 3-1 UCL victory over Inter Milan

Bodo/Glimt continued their incredible journey as they have now included Inter Milan among their notable victories, bringing them closer to reaching the Champions League round of 16.

Bodo remains in their off-season in Norway, but they dominated Inter in the second half after defeating Manchester City and Atletico Madrid last month.

Jens Petter Hauge and Kapser Waarts Hogh scored within three minutes of the second half after Francesco Pio Esposito equalized Sondre Fet’s initial goal.

Inter might lead Serie A by eight points and reach the Champions League finals twice in the past three seasons, yet they appeared average against Bodo in the Arctic Circle.

    • Arsenal waste lead to draw last-place Wolves 2-2

Bodo went ahead after 20 minutes on their synthetic pitch when Hogh backheeled for Fet to score skillfully.

Inter replied, and ex-Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian struck the post, while Nicolo Barella aimed directly at Bodo’s goalkeeper Nikita Haikin.

Inter’s persistence yielded results when Carlos Augusto’s header from Barella’s cross was defended, leading the ball to Esposito, who spun and scored.

The guests and three-time champions were thwarted by the crossbar again when Lautaro Martinez struck the post before Inter’s goalkeeper Yann Sommer deflected Hogh’s shot over.

Inter ignored the warning, and Bodo regained the lead in the 61st minute when they countered, with Hogh setting up Hauge on the left to smash a left-footed shot into the top corner.

Inter were shocked, and Bodo capitalized fully to net a third when Ole Didrik Blomberg passed the ball for Hogh to finish easily.
