The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Kano State Command, has detained 11 suspects for vandalising and looting the Nigerian Communications Commission Digital Industrial Park in Kano on Thursday.  This is stated in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Abdullahi, on behalf of the state commandant on Friday. The Nigerian Army on Friday said it may intervene in controlling the looting crisis and identify its sponsors in the ongoing nationwide hunger protest. Gen. Sen. Amid the ongoing hunger protest, Nigerians have accused the Igbos of failing to join the protest in the southeast despite clamouring for the demonstration on social media. Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has described the looting of public and private business by “protesters” as the handwork of criminals. In a statement on X, Keyamo mentioned that armed robbers now operate in “broad daylight” under the guise of legitimate demonstrations. Amnesty International has condemned the alleged killing of 13 protesters by security operatives across Nigeria, calling the act “unjustified and unacceptable.”.  Isa Sanusi, the Country Director, stated this in a statement on Friday. “The Nigerian authorities must investigate these incidents impartially and effectively and ensure that security personnel suspected of responsibility for the alleged deadly use of force are held to account through a fair trial,” he said. One of Aribemchukwu’s domestic workers, the murdered daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, has admitted to being involved in her boss’s murder, according to a police source who spoke exclusively on Thursday.  Chronicle NG reports that the deceased, also known as Chuchu, was assassinated in her Parkview Estate home in Lagos State’s Ikoyi district.
