One of Aribemchukwu’s domestic workers, the murdered daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, has admitted to being involved in her boss’s murder, according to a police source who spoke exclusively on Thursday.

Chronicle NG reports that the deceased, also known as Chuchu, was assassinated in her Parkview Estate home in Lagos State’s Ikoyi district.

Although a family member said she was killed Tuesday night, her lifeless body was recovered Wednesday morning outside her home’s gate.

Her three domestic servants, including a housekeeper, a security guard, and a driver, were detained in connection with the murder.

Providing updates on the investigation so far, a police source who requested anonymity because he was not permitted to comment on the topic claimed the housekeeper confessed to the crime during interrogation.

According to the source, Aribemchukwu was slain inside her room, and her body was pulled from the area outside the gate where it was deposited.

According to the informant, the suspects attempted to clean up the blood stains but missed some spots because the incident occurred at night.

“The deceased was killed in her room, and her body was dragged to the front of the gate to make it look like she was killed on the spot. After that, all the blood stains were carefully cleaned, but still, they missed some spots. They did not clean it well because it happened at night.”

“The housekeeper did not deny what happened. She said, ‘We do am, na we do am’, during an interrogation, and everything she said tallied with the evidence on the ground,” the police source disclosed.

After killing their Aribemchukwu, the suspects packed all of the deceased’s valuables.

The insider also revealed that the three domestic workers were hired at the same time a week prior to the incident.

Until her death, Aribemchukwu was a doctor who had recently married.

When reached, the state police public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that investigations were still ongoing.

He said, “Investigations are still ongoing on the incident. We will provide updates as soon as there are more developments.”
