A tourist accused of blasphemy was killed by a mob after being hauled from a police station.o In the Swat area town of Madyan, the police had been trying to shield the man from the big group. The Federal Government has begun the proposed audit of the N2.7 trillion fuel subsidy claim by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL. The government stated that it had approved the Office of the Auditor General of the Federation’s engagement to verify the claims made by the corporation regarding the amount the government owes the oil firm. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has announced a rise in cholera in several regions of the world, with almost 195,000 cases and over 1,900 deaths reported in 24 countries since the start of this year. The greatest number of cholera eracases was recorded by the agency in the Eastern Mediterranean Region, which was followed by the African, American, Southeast Asian, and European regions.
