Ayo Fayose has asked Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara to reconcile with Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike rather than engage in political conflict.

The Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has vowed never to donate his vital body organs to any political godfather in a bid to remain the governor of the state.

Fubara made the declaration while speaking during a church service in Port Harcourt on Sunday.

According to Fubara, his physical health is paramount to his desire to remain in power, and as such, he cannot give his kidney or liver to prove his loyalty to any godfather.

“I cannot give my kidney or my liver to anybody. I won’t. If that is the only reason for me to be loyal, I will not do it,” he said.

He also pledged to be on the right side of the truth, defending the interests of the Rivers State people.

“But I will not do the wrong thing. I will stand on the side of right. I make bold to say it.

“There is no security agency that I have called any day to go and do something wrong. I have never. I do not have any need for it, but I know that is what they do, but they keep failing because God has left them,” he added.

“I will stand on the truth for Riverside people. That is my commitment today. I will stand for the truth.

“I will not mortgage my kidney or my liver, so do not worry about that because I know that that is what they do, and because of that, they can’t talk.

“If it has to take my kidney, then I will honourably just go back to my wife so that we will manage ourselves, but I will not give my kidney,” Fubara reiterated.

The Rivers State governor has been at loggerheads with his predecessor, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over the control of the political structure of the state.
