The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has announced that prosecutions of suspects arrested during the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests have begun.  The police announced on Monday that over 800 people who committed various offences during the protest had been apprehended. The Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC) has written to the National Human Rights Commission, demanding the release of some of the arrested #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters.  RULAAC, in a letter signed by its Executive Director, Okechukwu Nwanguma, and made available to journalists on Tuesday, described the continued arrests of citizens participating in or associated with Nigeria’s peaceful protests against economic hardship and widespread suffering under President Bola Tinubu’s administration as undemocratic. Lagos State High Court in Igbosere on Tuesday extended an earlier order restricting protesters in the state to the Freedom and Peace Parks in the Ojota and Ketu areas of the state. Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State, has expressed his concern with the violence that erupted during the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria demonstration in Azare, the state’s Katagum local government area headquarters. A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Monday granted N50 million bail each to two Moshood Abiola Polytechnic and Resign Regal Academy students, Timothy Oluwabukola and Anthony Odemerho, who are accused of hacking MTN Nigeria Communication computers and stealing N1.9 billion in airtime and data.  Justice Akintayo Aluko granted them bail after hearing two separate bail applications from the defendants. Nigerian politician and businessman Chris uba has reportedly physically assaulted an artisan who worked in his UK home. In a now viral video, the artisans alleged that he refused paying for the services rendered. Uba, a prominent Peoples Democratic Party figure from Anambra State, is seen ordering the workers to vacate his premises, saying, “Leave my house; I am not owing you. Cheering protestors stormed Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s palace on Monday after she escaped, marking the end of more than a month of deadly anti-government demonstrations.  On Monday morning, jubilant crowds waved flags in Dhaka’s streets, with some dancing on top of a tank, before hundreds crashed past the gates of Hasina’s official residence.
