The Katsina State Police Command rescued six victims from kidnappings on the Jibia-Kauran Namoda and Funua-Gusau roads, according to a statement released on Saturday by spokesperson Abubakar Aliyu.  The victims were rescued through collaboration between police and military personnel. Organisers of the #FearlessOctober1 protest have announced that the police, Department of State Services, and military will not prevent them from carrying out the demonstration as planned. Five people have been confirmed dead, while several others are being treated at the Infectious Disease Centre, Olodo, in Egbeda Local Government Area, Oyo State, after participating in a ‘Love Feast’, also known as Ipese, organised by a white garment church in Ibadan.  According to the report, the incident occurred last Sunday on the church grounds in Apata, Ido Local Government Area, and has left the community in a state of bewilderment. Justice Ayokunle Faji of the Federal High Court in Lagos State ordered the remand of four bloggers on Friday for allegedly cyberstalking and publishing fake information with the intention of insulting Segun Agbaje, Chief Executive Officer of Guarantee Trust Holding Company PLC.  The bloggers, Precious Eze (38), Olawale Rotimi (47), Rowland Olonishu, and Seun Odunlami, were detained at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre. The minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Festus Keyamo, has paid an official trip to the United Arab Emirate (UAE) ahead of the scheduled resumption of Emirates flights from Nigeria to the Arab nation.
