Gunmen kill 18 in fresh Plateau attacks

No fewer than 20 people at a coal mine in Balochistan province in southwestern Pakistan have been killed by gunmen, according to local police. The gunmen stormed the workers’ accommodation at the Junaid Coal Company mines in the province’s Duki district in the early hours of Friday morning, rounded the men up, and opened fire. Reuters reported that a hospital in Duki had received 20 bodies and was treating six injured persons. Court jails cleric for life over sexual assault of minor

A Federal High Court in Kano sentenced a 67-year-old Lebanese, Zuhier R. Akar, to 14 years imprisonment for sexually exploiting two teenage girls. The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, Kano State Command, charged Akar of Gidan Wanka, Unity Road, Fagge Local Government Area, Kano, with two counts of trafficking and sexual exploitation. Hurricane Milton leaves four dead in eastern Florida

Hurricane Milton wreaked havoc on Florida, killing at least four individuals, one of whom was in a mobile home neighbourhood.  Officials from St Lucie County, on the east coast, claimed the deaths were caused by at least two tornadoes that struck the area before Milton arrived late Wednesday. British rapper and online sensation Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, popularly called Yung Filly, has been charged with rape in Australia.  Filly is most known for his work with the YouTube collective Beta Squad and for hosting shows on BBC Three.
