A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has dismissed a complaint brought by the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) challenging the execution of the Abuja Power Distribution Company and 11 companies’ Band A power rate revision.  According to a statement released on Thursday by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, the judgement was delivered on Monday. The Plateau State Government on Wednesday extended the public holiday in the state by one day to enable local government elections hold. Kingsley Otti, a club bouncer, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command after reportedly stabbing a suspected hoodlum to death at a lounge on Ago Palace Way in the state’s Okota region. Nigerian human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju has condemned the recent hike in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol. Adeyanju, in a statement on his X page on Wednesday, lamented over how Nigerians received the news of the hike in the price of the commodity without protesting. The Federal Government has urged Nigerians to seek formal approval before using the national anthem to avoid potential misuse or misinterpretation.
