No fewer than 110 mostly elderly people have been brutally murdered by gang members in the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince, according to a human rights group. The National Human Rights Defence Network (RNDDH) alleged a local gang leader attacked them when his kid became ill and died. Three Nigerians have been detained in Delhi and face at least three years in prison for allegedly scamming an Indian woman of more than Rs 2.62 lakh. The Times of India on Saturday reported that cybercrime police arrested Lezhu John, Gibril Mohammed, and Egboola Ekena in connection with an alleged scamming of an Indian woman. Police in India’s capital, Delhi, have checked over 40 schools following anonymous bomb threats, according to a police official.  According to ANI, schools received emails threatening to explode bombs unless $30,000 (£23,582) was paid to the sender. No bombs have been discovered yet, but authorities have not confirmed whether the threats are genuine. Hoax bomb warnings have frequently caused mayhem in India’s schools, railway stations, and airports, particularly this year. Ghanaian actor-turned-politician John Dumelo has won a seat in parliament, representing the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency. Dumelo, contesting on the platform of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), won the 2024 Ghana general elections on Saturday with 40,561 votes.
