A French passenger who was caught without a Nigerian visa has been sedated and returned to his home state in Paris, Charles de Gaulle, after disrupting flight operations in Abuja and engaging airportw officials combatively.  The unruly passenger flew into the country through Air France two days ago but was denied entry after he was discovered to have visited without a visa. Nigerian telecoms providers have proposed a 100% rise in tariff, pending government permission.  The proposal, which has been submitted to the Nigerian Communications Commission, seeks to address rising operational costs, such as inflation and higher service delivery costs. A 24-year-old man identified as Arshad allegedly murdered his mother and four younger sisters on New Year’s Eve in Lucknow, India, in what is being reported as a suspected honour killing. According to Indian media, Arshad not only admitted to the horrible crime but also filmed a terrifying video in which he explained his acts and the aftermath. The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has described the 2025 budgetary allocation to education as inadequate and below the expected 15 percent to 20 percent internationally advised benchmark.
