Borno State Governor Babagana Zulumu has announced a subsidy of N600 per litre for farmers in communities affected by the Boko Haram insurgency.  The announcement was made on Friday evening during the distribution of farm inputs to over 5,000 farmers displaced by Boko Haram insurgents in Bama town. A stray bullet from a police officer’s gun killed a young woman, identified as Ifeoluwa Adekalu, in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state, on Thursday. At least seven persons lost their lives in a lone auto crash on Kaltungo-Cham Road in Gombe State. Mr. Samson Kaura, Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in the state, verified the event on Thursday in Gombe.
